TOO BUSY TO THINK ABOUT DEATH
(Copyright 27th July 2005)

Lying here in the ground,
No one to help me,
No one to talk to,
Only my thoughts and previous actions for company.

I never spent my life thinking about death.
Why would I??
I was too busy living!
Playing, Studying, Starting a Family, Working,
Building my wealth,
I had no time to spare to think about death.

What have I done with my time?
What did I achieve?
How will that help me now?

I never stopped to gain reward,
To think of the consequences of each daily action,
To find seconds or minutes to supplicate,
I never stopped to remember my lord.
Who waited for me each day,
My creator, the almighty, the great,
I wish I’d found time,
Whilst washing the car,
Or putting the kids to bed,
On my way to work,
To think of my next journey,
To plan ahead, to build eternal wealth,
I wish I’d found time to think about death!!

SUICIDE BOMBER THINK TWICE
(Copyright 27th July 2005)

Suicide bomber can’t you see,
Islam is not meant to be,
Taking innocent lives to prove a point,
Martyrdom will not come to thee!
Of Allahs words you make a mockery.

There must be a better way,
To earn rewards, gain Allah’s praise.
Show the world Islam is true.
Help them feel the passion you do.
Channel your energies the righteous way.
Prove to all Islam means peace.

I pray to the lord,
We all find peace,
Within our hearts and outwardly,
Show love to the world, not ‘Policies’.

We must come together,
Young, old and grey,
White, black or brown,
We must unite to teach,
The true Islam,
To help the innocent,
Rid the uncertainty.

(If anyone killed a person, it shall be looked upon as if he had killed all mankind & whoever saved a human life, shall be looked upon as if he had saved all mankind.
Al Quran, Chapter 5 Verse 32)

HIJAB – MY ARMOUR IN THIS WAR
(Copyright 26th July 2005)

I leave my home,
Covered head to toe,
Only my hands and eyes remain to show,
This is my armour,
This is my weapon,
This is my protection.

Hijab keeps me from sin,
Hijab gives me anonymity

You say ‘Oppression’,
I ‘Feel’ Liberation!
I walk through the streets feeling free,
Nobody can bother me!

I understand how my appearance can be,
Threatening to some,
Who know not what they see.
They don’t understand why I dress this way.
I do this for my lord and myself,
Upholding my dignity brings me peace and sanity.
I am happy this way!

Surely we are all free,
To dress how we please,
Whether smart, punk or goth,
I choose Hijab every day!
